A tribute to The London Tattoo Convention founder Marcus Berriman
With very heavy hearts, we must share the news that Marcus Berriman, co-founder of The London Tattoo Convention, passed away earlier this week.
Together with Miki Vialetto, Marcus founded The London Tattoo Convention 16 years ago and the two worked together in perfect harmony, with the goal to create the best tattoo show on Earth.
Over the years, Marcus has helped hundreds of emerging artists to develop and with his support and encouragement, become world-class tattooers.
The saying ‘cut from a different cloth’ could not be more befitting of Marcus. He had an enthusiasm like no other and commanded the full attention of any room he walked into. Marcus had the ability to pick anybody up when they were feeling down, dust them off and give them the encouragement they needed to press on and fight another day.
He truly valued people and those lucky enough to have worked alongside him experienced his kindness, generosity and unending support. Marcus built not just a team, but a family.
His hearty laugh, charm and wit will be so dearly missed amongst all who knew and loved him.
The tattoo world has suffered a great loss this week.
We will all miss him immeasurably.
The LTC team- Miki, Nadine, Jasmine & Luke
With extra thanks to Annie, Marcus’s adored wife, whose love and support made everything possible.
