John Fairhurst to headline Roadhouse Stage Saturday
Known as the ‘Wigan Jimi Hendrix’ and ‘Eric Clapton’s Son’ (he’s not actually related to either), John Fairhurst will be blazing onto the London Tattoo Convention and Gretsch 'Roadhouse' stage on the Saturday.
Specialising in intense, heavy blues rock with an Eastern influence, conjured up by jaw-dropping slide guitar and finger-picking skills, plus vocals that sound like they’ve been excavated from a gravel pit, John has been hailed by none less than The Guardian newspaper as “truly exquisite”.
Having already been a hit at the Great British Rhythm And Blues Festival, Glastonbury, Boomtown, Shambala, SXSW and most recently Bestival, whether he’s performing solo, or with his band - the tightest, most powerful rhythm section this side of the Deep South - John is a musician at the top of his game, and a mesmerising songwriter to boot.
Prepare to be blown into the stratosphere by his masterful musicianship, huge beats and explosive songs that are going to get you jumpin’.
John promises a loud and dirty blues explosion - he’s truly the sound of modern British blues-soaked, melting-pot, rock’n’roll - so come and get rocked.
John Fairhurst will play the Roadhouse Stage on Saturday 29th September, 4.30pm.
