King Kurt to headline Friday night of London Tattoo Convention

It’s just been announced that Britain’s legendary psychobilly band King Kurt are going to be kicking rock’n’roll ass on the London Tattoo Convention Main Stage on Friday.

After playing over the years at ink-credible tattoo bashes such as the Ink N Iron extravaganza at Long Beach, California, then this year, at festivals including the mighty Vibe Fest in Cleveland, Ohio, and the rockin’ Oddballs Rally here in the UK, King Kurt are bringing their amazing live show to London tat fans.

Smeg and the gang will be at the London Tattoo Convention to belt out their biggest hits including Destination Zululand, Zulu Beat and Mack the Knife.

For those new to the high-octane music of psychobilly, it’s an infectious mix of rockabilly and punk, and King Kurt are the leading purveyors, having honed their craft since they formed in 1981.

As this is a homecoming gig for the London veterans, expect a joyous celebration of primal beats, humour, fun and King Kurt’s incomparable style.

Perhaps one of their notorious food fights will ensue - or could we even see the return of the Wheel Of Misfortune?

So come on! Ooh wallah wallah all of you rats, take a bow, and get yourself down the front to pay homage to King Kurt - truly rock’n’roll royalty...

King Kurt headline the Main Stage, Friday 28th September at 9.00pm.
