Neck to support King Kurt, Friday at The London Tattoo Convention
Brace yourselves - the enormously entertaining kick-arse, high energy Neck have been unveiled as the most excellent support for King Kurt on the Main Stage at the London Tattoo Convention on Friday night.
Delivering an intoxicating London/Irish psycho ceilidh, this passionate six-piece are one of the world’s most in-demand bands on the Celtic punk and folk-punk scene, and have graced stages and parties all over the world from the likes of Texas, Moscow, Ohio to Berlin, as well as playing the daddy of them all, Glastonbury Festival, a remarkable six times.
Fresh from supporting The Offspring and Flogging Molly on the Miami to Bahamas Salty Dog cruise, this band are going to inject raucous high energy and bring some electric roar to your weekend.
Formed in 1994 in North London’s Holloway, these rabble rousers feature a former member of Shane MacGowan and the Popes in their ranks, and have such an impeccable pedigree, they’re mates and have collaborated with Alabama 3, Hayseed Dixie, The Men They Couldn't Hang and The Dropkick Murphys - and can list a certain Johnny Depp as a huge fan.
Delivering authentic traditional Irish swirl, they take their lead from punk legends The Clash as well as MacGowan’s legendary outfit the Pogues.
Neck will be belting out powerhouse, uplifting, authentic and spirited crowd favourites such as ‘Every Day Is Saint Patrick’s Day’, ‘Always Upsetting Somebody’ ‘Star Of The County Down’ and ‘Everyone’s Welcome To The Hooley’, in a style described by the Irish Post as: “If The Clash were born on the Emerald Isle!"
