Feast your eyes: Food at The London Tattoo Convention

From mouthwatering burgers to vegan buddha bowls and artisan coffee, feast your eyes on The London Tattoo Convention's food vendors for 2018...

Wholefood Heaven

Nine years ago, Charlotte and David Bailey started Wholefood Heaven, taking healthy and high-quality food to the masses via a beautifully converted 1973 Citroen H van.

Wholefood Heaven is the home of enlightened eating and is famed for the Buddha Bowl which scooped the award for Best Main Dish at the British Street Food Awards in 2011.

They have also been featured on Channel 4’s River Cottage Veg with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and the Travel Channel’s Street Eats show

Along with their regular pitch in London’s Whitecross St Market, Charlotte and David have also been serving their award-winning food to festival goers at Glastonbury, where they were voted ‘best food stall’ in 2016, as well as Field Day, Lost Village, Wilderness, Citadel, and, of course, London Tattoo Convention.

The Taco Truck

The Taco Truck crew create authentic Mexican dishes out of a Citroen H Fire Engine which they converted into a mobile kitchen. They have been serving it up to festival goers for several years at events ranging from High Voltage to The Proms in Hyde Park.

The Taco Truck menu draws its inspiration from local markets in central and southern Mexico. The zingy Tilapia fish fillets with roasted cumin and fresh lime juice served in a wheat tortilla taco are highly recommended.

They’ve also created their own sauce called Guau (which is the Spanish word for ‘woof’. Really.), made with four types of Mexican chillies to deliver enough of a spicy kick, but with enough flavour to ensure its bark is worse than its bite.

The Taco Truck will be pulling into Tobacco Dock for this year’s London Tattoo Convention.

Coffee Real

Launching back in 2008, Coffee Real are dedicated to bringing only the best coffee beans, sourced from individual growers, to market.

Passion is at the heart of every cup that they produce, with owner Gary Best and his team searching the corners of the globe to find high-quality, ethically sourced, products to roast at their Horsham headquarters.

The Wood Fired Pizza Company

Classically trained chef Russell Allan worked in some of the UK’s top hotels and restaurants before launching The Wood Fired Pizza Company in 2012, with co-founders Toni and Maiko.

The company, based in West Sussex, pride themselves on using only the most authentic Italian ingredients – the finest Fior Di Latte Mozzarella cheese and Italian 00 grade flour in their bases.

They’ve provided their fabulous pizzas to the crowds at Royal Ascot, the London 2012 Olympics, Bestival and – of course – the London Tattoo Convention.

Gourmet Burgers

Mouthwatering, top quality and flame-grilled, Gourmet Burgers return exclusively to this year’s London Tattoo Convention.

Situated on the outside quay, Jan and Katie will be flipping the finest of cheeseburgers on their outdoor charcoal grill.

The 100% beef patties are served in a soft brioche bun and stacked high with the freshest of toppings – iceberg lettuce, juicy tomatoes, sharp pickled gherkins all topped off with their special spicy burger relish. We can’t wait!
