We’ll be celebrating the launch of the new ‘Shangri-La Inmortal Tattooing’ book with an exclusive exhibition at The London Tattoo Festival this summer.
This special project was created to give voice to the tattoos of ancient tribal cultures which have been a source of inspiration to artists throughout the evolution of modern tattooing.
Over 150 tattooers have contributed to the project. Each artist has painted a unique piece interpreting an area of the world, culture or tribe in their own style. The results shine a light on the sources of inspiration that have formed the basis of what we now call modern tattooing.
A world-class selection of tattooers including Jeroen Franken, Sway, Guy Le Tattooer, Jondix, Tomas Tomas, Jack Peppiette, Flo Nuttal, Nazareno Tubaro, Ryan Jessiman, Curly, Chris Higgins, Thomas Hooper and many more, have offered artworks to the book.
It’s an exciting journey into the vision and experience of each artist’s visual language in tattooing.
All of the artworks will be displayed within The London Tattoo Festival’s hand-tap tattoo area. The brand new book will also be available to purchase at the event, 31st July – 2nd August 2020.
